Quite honestly, asking this question in a Guild Wars fan forum is not a great idea.

As stated, try it if you like it. The game becomes a bit different near 70, but there are still plenty of choices for you as the player, be it with soloing, PvP, 5 man instances or large raids.

You can play WoW for free. (No im not hacking) I play on private servers, its just WoW but not monitored by Blizzard.

Well...let's say if you actually want to play, be a HORDE on Uther server! I have a 43 Blood Elf Hunter(please don't yell at me XD) and I can help you out a lot if you get the game. One bad thing is the grind, I already have to spend 1-2 hours questing to level.. One tip, breaking up grind time and questing is important! You'll want to do some dungeons and battlegrounds too. Theres a TON of content and 3 continents. I've actually met quite a lot of nice, friendly, and helpful players in my 2 years(I used to play, then took a break and started with a brand new guy). WoW is a very good game. Over the summer I got hooked on it but when my internet connection and lack of money became a problem, I had to stop playing (or, due to the internet issues, be online at all). It is a very addicting game, as is GW. I found it very difficult to get back into Guild Wars after having played WoW even for just a couple months. The graphics are wildly different and when you come back to GW, you will find yourself hitting the space button, trying to jump. ^_^;

As has been said, it's really only something you can decide. Ark made a great suggestions- play the trial and if you liked it, buy it. That's actually exactly what I did.

(Also- don't play horde. Horde are animals. And not in the good way.

)

I must say as a former WoW player

It's actually quite a fun game, um, structured actually quite well for something Blizzard came up with. Let's see. Questing is boring. 5-Mans are actaully a lot like GW. Tank dies, Healer gets chewed out. Are Necro's overpowered here? In WoW, they are, along with the Mage, which can promptly hand your ass to you.

So all in all, I hated the game because it's too teadious (sp). All you do is quest, quest, random dungeon, quest, quest, maybe do a raid, quest, quest... see where I'm going. All you do is quest, and it gets annoying, which is why I quit.

So, as someone stated, it's all up to you. One side note though... PLAY A NE HUNTER AND I SWEAR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN. Only n00bs who think that Nelfs look like Legolas play them. Also, play a Rogue and people will kill you for being cheap. Dont beg, or you'll get chewed out. Better get used to whining about Blizz this, Blizz that, because that's what people do in the game. Hope this helped.
